Coronavirus (COVID-19): Apprenticeship programme

Guidance for apprentices, employers, training providers and assessment organisations in response to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) can be found here.

The focus of the guidance is that ‘every effort should continue to be made to ensure that apprentices can continue with their apprenticeship and be assessed in accordance with current Assessment plans’ if possible.

ESFA Update 25th March 2020

The coronavirus outbreak is a rapidly unfolding situation and we acknowledge the huge impact it is having on the FE sector, individuals as well the economy.

To support colleges and other further education providers effected by coronavirus we have published two new pieces of guidance:

· Coronavirus (COVID-19): apprenticeship programme response

· Coronavirus (COVID-19): maintaining further education provision

DfE have also published guidance about COVID-19 in educational settings for staff, parents and carers, pupils and students on GOV.UK. Please check GOV.UK regularly for updates.

We are continuing to work closely with the sector to monitor the situation and consider any further action which may be required.

Staying at home and away from others (Social distancing)

The single most important action we can all take, in fighting coronavirus, is to stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives
