Role / Duties: To Support the nursing staff and care assistants in the following areas:
  • To provide a high standard of individualised care to each resident.  Assist residents with all aspects of personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, mobilising and feeding as required, whilst promoting independence at all times.
  • To ensure you have an awareness of the care plans for each resident and that all care is given in accordance with these.
  • To treat with utmost confidentiality details of residents, colleagues and the home
  • Help to maintain high standards of hygiene where it directly involves the residents, their belongings and any equipment
Required Skills / Experience / Personal Qualities: You will need to be passionate about caring for vulnerable people with the ability to provide the best level of service.
Applicants with relevant experience are desirable but not essential as full training will be given. 
We will need to conduct a full enhanced DBS check before you can start.
Prospects: To progress within the company & go on to a Level 3 Apprenticeship is a possibility for the right candidate
Training Involved: Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship (Level 2) - 12-15 month programme of work based learning where you will gain the following qualifications;
  • The Care Certificate
  • City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF) 
  • Functional Skills Maths Level 1 
  • Functional Skills English Level 1 
At the end of your qualification you will be required to complete a 60 question multiple choice exam and a 45 minute professional discussion.
Days/Hours: The position is 30 hours per week over a 7 day shift pattern
