Who is the NVQ for?
If you have worked in Teaching Assisants' for a long time and wish to get a nationally recognised qualification for what you do, or have started a new role and require training to meet the demands of your new responsibilities, then the RWP Training Limited Teaching Assisants' NVQ will suit you.
The RWP Training Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Teaching Assisants' is for employees 19 years old or older who work in a Teaching Assisants' role (teaching assistant, classroom assistant, support worker etc.). The NVQ involves hard work from the employee and commitment from the employer. Volunteers can benefit from the NVQ programme also.
If you are not 19 years old yet then RWP Training can offer you and your employer a Young Learner's (16-18) Teaching Assisants' Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship: alternatively if you are over 19 years old, and want a larger and more challenging qualification, then we offer Teaching Assisants' Adult Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships.

Learning Method and Assessment
RWP Training Limited's assessors assess the work you do in your school, to help you achieve a nationally recognised level 2 or level 3 qualification (NVQ). We use a variety of assessment methods, on differeing types of evidence, to demonstrate your competence in the job role you perform for your employer. The evidence needs to come from real work and can come from past work or new projects. We help you create a portfolio of work that shows your skills and abilities.

Eligibility
You must be employed (volunteers can benefit also) and complete a self declaration form of your existing qualifications, and return to us, so we can determine your eligibility for the government's funding. As a rule of thumb, however, the government will fund the Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools NVQ, through the Train to Gain programme, if this is your first level 2 or level 3 qualification, so the assessment does not cost you or your school anything.
