| Role / Duties: | Depends upon the classroom worked in and the children supported. Generally: supporting the teacher and working with groups of children across the curriculum. Must be engaged in and contribute to the ethos of the school and make a difference in the education of the children. |
| Required Skills / Experience: | GCSE Maths and English A*-C preffered |
| Prospects: | Permanent position and progression on to Advanced Apprenticeship is a possibility for the right candidate. |
| Training Involved: | The RWP Training Apprenticeship in Teaching Assistants will offer you a 12-19 month programme of work based learning where you will gain the following qualifications: * OCR NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools * OCR Level 2 Certificate for Teaching Assistants (Technical Certificate) * Key Skills Communication Level 1 * Key Skills Application of Number Level 1 * Key Skills IT Level 1 * ERR Workbook |
| Days/Hours: | Monday to Friday, 08.30 to 16.00 term-time only (hours may be flexible depending on role). |
| Other Information: | Work experience in a school or similar setting (working with children) would be an advantage, but not a requirement. |
