Role / Duties:
  • Under the supervision of supervisor/leader/head undertake a range of varied tasks to support children's personal care and development by working with individuals or small groups of children.
  • Interact with children aged 3 to 5 within the planned the EYFS as agreed with senior staff adjusting activities according to children's responses and needs.
  • Contribute to the observation of children and feedback children's development and patterns of behaviour to staff/key person.
  • Contribute to learning by providing fun and exciting activities under the direction of the supervisor/leader/head.
  • Contribute to children's social, emotionail and physical wellbeing, reporting concerns to the appropriate person.
  • Be aware of and comply with all settings policies and procedures including code of conduct, child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to a nominated person.
  • Under the supervision of the supervisor/leader/head encourage independent learning and promote inclusion of all children.
  • Assist with lunchtime routines.
  • Ensure EYFS is kept clean and tidy throughout the day.
  • Verbally share rountine information about children with other staff.

  • Maths and English GCSE A*-D or 9-4.
Prospects: Opportunity to progress within the nursery is dependent on budget for the following year.
Training Involved: Apprenticeship – 12-15 month programme of work based learning where you will gain the following qualifications:

Days/Hours: 35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
Other Information: The prospective candidate will need to provide 2 references, have DBS clearance and meet A&I requirements.
