Pay: Minimum £3.50 per hour (Apprenticeship Wage)
Role / Duties: General administration work including:
  • Assist with date input of attendance registers; typing; HR admin; admin of trips & visits; press liaison; minute taking; admin of staff cover; photocopying requests and school events
  • Assist in the Finance Department with processing orders and invoices; recording transport requests; helping with admin of communities accounts and gym membership accounts
  • Provide reception services including meeting and welcoming visitors, answering the telephone and dealing with emails
  • Deal with routine enquirers in a friendly and helpful way. when necessary, direct the calls to the appropriate staff or take messages and pass them on efficiently and accurately
  • Carry out electronic and paper based filing, and other routine clerical tasks.
  • Room bookings, set up meeting rooms, ordering refreshments
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Participate in training and other learning activities, performance development as required
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the academy
  • Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection
  • Other duties as required in support of the school within the scope of this post
Required Skills / Experience/ Personal Qualities:
  • Five GCSE's grades A* - C or 9 - 4, including Maths and English
  • First rate communication skills
  • Use of email
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Polite, friendly and cheerful personality with a commitment to helping people and providing a service
  • Enthusiastic to learn new skills and adaptable to the various roles required
  • Time management skills
Prospects: To progress onto a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship
Training Involved: Apprenticeship – Minimum 12 month programme of work based learning where you will gain the following qualifications:
  • Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner
  • Functional Skills English Level 1 
  • Functional Skills Maths Level 1 
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities are embedded into the apprenticeship.
