Role / Duties: General administration work including:
  • Operate the school’s reprographics machinery to reproduce printed materials as required and within set deadlines;
  • Assist with ordering stock and materials to ensure the uninterrupted running of the reprographics service; 
  • Check meter usage readings and ensuring machines are in good working order;
  •  Arrange with contractors for repairs, service and maintenance as necessary, to ensure smooth operation of all equipment;
  •  Maintain records of reprographics work undertaken
  • Undertake Reception duties including:
      • answering routine telephone and face to face enquires
      • signing in visitors
      • handling and distributing internal and external main and deliveries
      • enveloping and franking mail
      • maintaining the Reception diary and meeting room bookings
      • producing documents using standard templates (for example, holiday letters) 

    ·  Attend Staff Briefings/meetings where appropriate;

    • Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required;
    • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school;
    • Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person;
    • Other duties as required in support of the school within the scope of this post.
Required Skills / Experience/ Personal Qualities:
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Maths and English GCSE A*-D or 9-4
  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • IT & keyboard skills 
  • Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
Prospects: To progress onto a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship
Training Involved: Apprenticeship – 12 month programme of work based learning where you will gain the following qualifications:
  • Level 2 Certificate in Business and Administration
  • Functional Skills English Level 1
  • Functional Skills Maths Level 1
  • Functional Skills ICT Level 1
  • Employer Rights and Responsibilities Workbook
  • Personal Learning Thinking Skills
  • Be Safe
Days/Hours: 32.5 hours (Monday-Friday, start/finish times TBC, term time)
