Intermediate Level Apprenticeship (Level 2)
Are you kind, caring and looking for a rewarding career in adult care? The RWP Training Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care will offer you a 12-15 month programme of work-based learning where you will gain the following qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)
- City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF)
- Key Skills Communication Level 1
- Key Skills Application of Number Level 1

Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 3)
If you are looking to advance your learning and develop more technical skills, the Advanced Level Apprenticeship can help you get there: this programme takes 15-24 months and you will gain the following qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF)
- Key Skills Communication Level 2
- Key Skills Application of Number Level 2

What will I learn?
Health and Social Care Apprenticeships offer two pathways for you to choose dependent on your job role:
- Adult social care general
- Health sector
During the apprenticeship, you will work towards elements of your qualifications including:
- Introduction to communication in health and social care settings
- Introduction to personal development in health and social care settings
- Introduction to equality and inclusion in health and social care settings
- Introduction to duty of care in health and social care settings
- Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care
- The role of the health and social care worker
- Implement person centred approaches in health and social care
- Contribute to health and safety in health and social care
- Handle information in health and social care settings

Learning Method and Assessment
As a Health and Social Care Apprentice, you will learn mostly whilst working in adult care setting for example a care home. Once you have been through the RWP selection process, we will help you find a company to employ you. One of our assessors will visit you periodically to assess your skills whilst you work; this will be approximately every three to four weeks. You will also attend off-the-job training up to every other week to work on technical skills which will help you whilst working towards your qualifications.

Entry Requirements and Wages
Applicants should show enthusiasm for health and social care and possess excellent communication skills. Acceptance onto the programme will be subject to successfully completing an initial assessment and interview. Applicants will also be required to under go a Criminal Records Bureau check.
You will recieve a minimum of £2.60 per hour.
