Welcome
Key Priority 2003 - 2006
To be better, sharper, more focused and more efficient
Strategic Direction
Our goal is that learning programmes offered by RWP Training and the qualifications that accredit them will respond fully and quickly to the skills needs of employers throughout Cumbria. All will be of a very high standard and provide clear routes to employability and progression for the learners involved. Our strategies will make a major contribution to equipping significantly more young people throughout North and West Cumbria with the various levels of craft, technical and professional skills essential for economic success within the geographical area we operate.
Strategic Objectives
- To generate growth in government funded work based training provision and increase share in selected occupational programme areas to meet local economic demands.
- To create expansion and better co-ordination of activities within the community through improved liaison with schools, employers and partner organisations.
- To maintain an effective and well respected organisation with high levels of staff expertise, motivation, efficiency and performance.
- To achieve greater recognition through improved management practice, quality assurance and enhancement processes.
- To ensure the physical environment is fully accessible, fit for purpose and conducive for work, learning and planned provision.
- To maintain financial viability and generate a reserve for stability and future investment.
- To widen participation in learning and promote social inclusion and equality of opportunity both in the delivery of our programmes and partnership activities.
- To maintain high standards of health and safety and ensure a safe and healthy environment of all staff, learners and sub-contractors
- To demonstrate continuous improvement in environmental performance using the Business Environment Network (BEN) model.
