Role / Duties:
  • To be an ambassador for the school when meeting parents and other visitors and to act as first point of reference when people arrive.
  • To provide secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the Head Teacher, School Business Manager, Administration Team and other staff.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school and meeting the needs of the children.
  • Provide general confidential service to all staff, to include word processing, correspondence, reports, mail, appointments and meetings, maintain general and confidential filing system.
  • Send out emails and post letters onto website. Photocopy any correspondence.
  • Perform Receptionist duties throughout the school day: acting as first point of reference for receiving callers, children, parents, visitors and telephone enquiries.
Required Skills / Experience/ Personal Qualities:
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Maths and English GCSE A*-D or 9-4
  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • IT & keyboard skills 
  • Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
  • Eager to learn and driven
  • Polite and punctual
Prospects: To progress onto a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship
Training Involved: Apprenticeship –Minimum 12 month programme of work based learning where you will gain the following qualifications:
  • Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner
  • Functional Skills English Level 1 
  • Functional Skills Maths Level 1 
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities are embedded into the apprenticeship.
